As we continue with or plans to manage the current COVID-19 pandemic, all blood tests for patients 12 years and over will take place at Gravesend Community Hospital (GCH), Bath Street, Gravesend DA11 ODG until further notice.
The opening hours at GCH are Monday to Friday (9am to 2pm) - no appointment necessary, people are seen on a first come, first served basis. Please do not go to Darent Valley Hospital to have your blood taken.
If one of your relatives is currently an inpatient, we would like to kindly remind you that we are taking one point of contact and we ask for them to contact the ward directly - limited to once a day. We will still maintain patients' confidentiality and information will be limited. If they're able, we encourage you to contact the patients directly. The ward will contact you if your relative's condition changes, as usual
It has been necessary to put a series of emergency measures in place to limit the footfall on hospital sites in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. One of the steps to reduce the number of patients on-site is to limit all non-essential visits to the hospital wherever possible. Read more HERE.
In order to help us manage the increasing demand on our services caused by coronavirus, we are starting to reduce some of our non-urgent care. Our clinical teams are working hard to identify how to best manage this within each service so we can make sure that we are still providing care to those who need it most. For some patients, this may involve cancelling or rearranging surgery.
If you are self isolating and have a hospital appointment booked during your isolation please do not visit the hospital. Simply contact us to cancel your appointment and will rearrange one for you.
